Comfortable cottage with great views

Fay was very welcoming and friendly. Property clean and well equipped. Easy off road parking. Dog friendly. Great views. Great fun watching the donkeys etc who live in front of the garden.

We've been here a couple of days now and the views are amazing a great find with easy access to the A69. 7 minutes from Vindolanda and 15 minutes from Hadrian’s Wall.

We have just left Mole End Cottage after staying for 7 nights, the cottage is perfect and has everything you need for a comfortable stay. The cottage overlooks some of the breathtaking scenery Northumberland has to offer, with rolling hillsides and lush greenery. Fay called us the day before to confirm all the details of our arrival and was on hand if we needed anything. We were pleasantly surprised to see 2 donkeys in the field behind the cottage, and sheep in the fields next to the cottage, giving us a feel of true countryside living. We travelled as a family of 4 and brought our two dogs, there was plenty for us to do in the local areas, even with the two dogs. We strongly recommend visiting Beemish Living museum, which is around 1 hour away in Teeside. Hadrians Wall is also only 10minutes away I'd you like a good walk, again we would recommend parking at Steel Rigg car park as this give you the best views on your hike. If you like walking and exploring High Force and Low Force waterfalls are just over an hour away, with a dog friendly pub located next to the car park. We will definitely be back for another visit and highly recommend.

The best holiday cottage that we've been to. Mole End is sat overlooking a beautiful valley with a pair of donkeys playing in the adjacent field. It's immaculate and warm, and we had a great week walking and visiting the Roman landmarks dotted around the area. Note that street map shows the house opposite rather than Mole End.
